The roses upon the cross represent the problem of Initiation. The rose is the symbol dawn, being sacred to aurora and the sun, the mercy of Venus. Adonis was changed into rose. We know of the three mystical roses:
first the Choir of Martyrs
the second the Mystica the Virgin of Virgins and the
the mediator between God and man or the Rose of Sharon
