THE FROG AND THE EEL - A TRUE STORY
A FABLE
ONE summer evening a number of frogs were croaking on the margin of a pond, when an eel passed by. 'Well friend.'- a frog cried out to him, 'will you sing with us?'
'I cannot,' replied the eel; 'I have no voice.'
'I cannot,' replied the eel; 'I have no voice.'
'You have no voice, you cannot sing then. Poor little fellow. how I pity you!'
' I am very much obliged to you.' replied the eel. 'However, people who have heard you, have told me, that a discreet silence is often better than an incessant chattering.'
