Who built it? 

A great master of his craft, 
. . . .but not he alone,

For many generations laboured with him. 

Children that came to see these saints in stone, 

As day by day out of the blocks they rose, 

Grew old and died, and still the work went on. 

. . . .The architect 

Built his great heart into the sculptured stones, 

And with him toiled, his children and their lives 

Were builded with his own, into the walls, 

As offerings unto God.

Over in the Meadow

 

Over in the Meadow

1. Over in the meadow, 

Sitting in the sun, 
You will find a mother  toad, 

And her toadie one.

"Jump," says the mother. "I jump," said the one. 

 So they jumped and are glad 

 In the bright shining sun.  

2.Ο'ver in the meadow, 

Where the brook runs thro',

You will find a mother fish 

And her fishes two. 

"Swim," says the mother , 'We swim." said the two

 So they swim and are glad 

In the brook let so blue. 

3. Οver in the meadow,

 In an apple tree,

You will find a mother bird 

And her birdies three.

"Sing," says the mother. "We sing," said the three

So they sing and are glad 

In the old apple tree.    

4. Over in the meadow,

By the cottage door,  

You will find a mother lizzard 

And her lizzards four.

"Run," says the mother. "We run say. the four

Safe and sound, in the ground, 

Little seeds are lying so*-

Just like-this all in a row*- 

But when April dances round- 

Like this*- with singing sound, -

And there's not a trace of snow- 

Up they ll jump before we know- 

Like this*- and start to grow. 

All day long the small plants try 

This way to reach the sky,* 

Some little flowers peep all about,

And then when school at last is out, 

The children gather in the sun 

And pick the flowers one by one- 

So*- and then comes snow; 

Once again all in a row* 

Little seeds lie underground, 

While Mr Rough Wind rides around.

 The Easter Lily

As soldiers lay and guarded well the tomb, 
The night before the first glad Easter morn,
 Birds came and sang such songs of melody 
As sung the angels when our Lord was born.

And when the glorious sunrise tinged the sky, 

The earth, so dark and rugged in the night, 

Was changed about the tomb to tender green 

And covered o;er with lilies pure and white.

And, whether we believe the tale or no, 

We deem this lily dearest of the flowers, 

Because it brings us thoughts of life from death 

At this most blessed Easter time of ours.

Poem by Sel. 

Tints of green upon the grass; 
Swelling buds on every tree; 
Fleecy clouds that quickly pass; 
Birds to sing for you and me.

Flowing brooks and melting snow; 

Winds that whistle loud and clear; 

"Wake, O flowers! Awake and grow!" 

March has come and spring is here.   

March is called The Dutch Month in American school. The themes of the Geography, Nature Study, Art lessons are windmills, scenes along canal on the sand-table, bulb flowers, tulips, pussy willow, pine, Coloring pages- Dutch children, Dutch national costume, stories about children Kit Kat. Charts of buds in the school yard are made everyday. Birds are watched everyday especially bluebird and robin. Hot- beds are made in the school yard, dog, chicken, horse drawings. Spring signs, sap of hard maple discussed, raking the ground, rubbish off, The birds watched  Those due are fox sparrow kill deer kingfisher Phœbe and golden crowned kinglet. 

The poem is recommended by The Department Of The USA as the program of education for Kindergartens and Primary Schools Of The USA  illustration - the textbook of Arts discipline of the Public Universities Of The USA.

Hen Pen

 Who is Hen Pen

The name of Hen Pen is known to all American toddlers- he is the brave, nice and polite. And he is The Chicken. He is the character of the famous bed-time story. Sometimes he is the Henny-Penny, or sometimes he is Hen Pen. Just the first rhyme names for the chicken in The USA for centuries.The famous Chicken Litttle is a friend of Hen Pen.They are  the famous heroes of the Disney characters as well.

The bed- time story about the Chicken Little is the traditional drama show in the Primary Schools Of The USA for two hundred years. The drama play "Chicken Little" was the adapted story for the Easter celebration in the schools of The USA in 1912 by the professor ESTHER WHITE.

The names of the heroes of the story about the Chicken Littl are:  Hen Pen; Cockey-Lockey; Duckey-Luckey; Goosey-Poosey; Turkey-Lurkey; Foxey-Loxey;  Henny-Penny; Fido the house dog; are as well learned as Hen Pen; Cocky Locky; Duck Luck; Goose Loose; Gander Lander; Foxy Loxy; 

They are learned as the first pet names and the endearment names for the animals- the old American names of the tales.

The onomatopeae for those animal sounds are learned as:
