The Animal Band
(A Good Song for Circus Time)
By MARION MITCHELL and CHURCHILL-GRINDELL
The Animal Band came down the street,
The morning before the show,
It made me laugh to see the Giraffe,
He blew a big horn, you know.-
The Monkey sat on the Elephant's back,
And jingled a tambourine,
While made rum ti tum went the big bass drum,
Round the E1phant's neck twas seen.-
But the Grizz ly Bear in his striped suit,
Was the funniest thing in town,
He nodded, grinned, turned somersaults too,
For he was the circus clown .-
